Can you buy adapters to do that? Trying to add a tank to my ARB. I need to run a line from the compressor to the tank. I have a T in it now with air chuck but the air chuck came with a kit from ARB and I'm told has British threads.

Russel makes that ARB fitting, but where the air coupler hooks up is normal pipe thread.

First you need to identify exactly what you have. Take the fitting you have (Tee and/or air chuck) to your local hydraulic hose shop. They should be able to help identify what threads you have. They can order an adapter to convert to a common American thread such as NPT or AN.
Here is some useful info. http://www.myfui.com/ Look in the menu to the left of the page. Under 'ADAPTERS and FITTINGS' scroll down to 'International and Conversion Adapters'. You will need to know whether you have BPP (British Parallel Pipe) or BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread). BSPT is tapered, similar to NPT here in USA.
It can get confusing so don't rush it.

McMaster Carr has adaptors as well.

Someone must have been in a pissing match with the British. 1/8" pipe thread is the save except one is 27 threads per inch, the other 28. They almost screw into each other, but WILL leak.

I ran NPT fittings into my ARB solenoids for years. It worked but its not correct. With pipe tape and sufficient tightening they might not even leak. This being said, years later while redoing things I stripped the solenoids and decided to do it right the next time around. The McMaster adapters linked above will get you there, correctly.

I do not recommend forcing NPT fittings to fit, especially when the adapters are so readily available.
