I plan on running stock rims and stock tire size. So what would the gearing need to be in Dana 30's?
My 66 has 4:11 gears and with the 250 six and od NV3550 trans it is great to drive. Th od gear lets me cruise at 65 without high rpm. I have almost stock 30" tires and will have 31" next. you probably have Dana 30 front and 9" in back.

E40D is a monster transmission
Correct. The pan is as long as the whole 4R70W trans case.
And the transfer case that came with either of them won't fit. Too wide for one, wider than the outside of the frame rail. The other is too long, the output will be nearly at the rear axle.
