Looking to gain a little more torque, which upper would you go with?

since you ask I assume you mean to actually use the low end. Main thing is to keep the STOCK throttle plate, you might gain a little with a lightning or explorer intake but I eally doubt you will notice.

If your throttle plates are not wide open the intake change only moved the curve so you get seat of the pants gains not useful gains, but I am not about to go into all of that mess with the mustang mag readers.

The thing is, I have an AOD and the overdrive is a little too high geared and I was thinking a little more low end torque would help out on these hills.

Truck upper & lower is what you need, long narrow intake runners, that is why the truck intakes are designed as they are for low end.

What ransil said. Long narrow runners increase intake velocity, increasing low end torque. That's why the truck intakes are so tall.

Kinda what happens if your axle gearing/tire size is not correct for OD useage. I know a intake manifold swap would seem like a good idea but really there is little to be gained from doing it. You might look into a camshaft that makes better lowend torque. that will actually make a differance you should be able to feel.
