Evaporative Emission Lines

I just replaced my main tank and filled it up yesterday. I noticed the hard evaporative emission line going from the tank to the bottle inside is leaking. Is this a 5/16" or 1/4" line? I guess the best way to repair is to purchase a roll of hard fuel line? What have you guys done?

Is it leaking because the upper rear shock mount has rubbed a hole in it? Just cut a couple inches out and replace it with fuel hose.

I think it's 1/4, but don't hold me to that. Best to measure perhaps.
So is it leaking along it's length somewhere, like it's split? Kind of unusual I would say. Maybe happens more and we just don't hear about it often, but usually it's the rubber interfaces between the tanks and the hard line that leak.

Good luck. Never bent my own (yet) but it shouldn't prove to be too much drama.
In theory...

It is leaking further up on the line. I think the lines have just rubbed together as well as on the body over the years and rubbed a hole in one. I never filled the rear tank up because the sending unit gasket was leaking. I'll just measure the diameter of the lines and replace them.

Both my hard lines had small holes worn on the underside from rubbing on the frame at the elbow by the rear tank, thinking I drove it like that for quite awhile, always wondered why I smelled gas all the time. I replaced them with injection fuel line.
