Hey guys, was trying to figure out wat the hell was draining the battery on my rig. After some testing , come to find out, if you want to park your rig for a couple weeks or so, make sure to unplug the controller, or wen you go to start the truck, the battery may be dead. Im surprised that I never heard anybody say this about the controller. I run dual batteries and they were both dead. So just a little heads up for the FiTech guys. Jim;)

Good tip, or get a Battery Tender or such. When you add FI it now is more like a modern car, even when "off" there are still lots of electrons running here and there for memory, etc.

Yes. I have experienced this and I didn't really know exactly what it was.. I thought the Optima was going bad so I got a replacement and about the same time, I disconnected the controller and placed it in the console, so it was all good. Now, I know.. Thanks!

This is the fuel injection system programmer and screen. It's really only for tuning the system and not meant as a permanent viewing screen.

Yes, if you want to look at electronic/digital displays in your EB, you need the Dakota stuff. I still like looking at that little round deal on the left that has a little steel needles showing you the critical functions..

I haven't disconnected the display from my Holley in about a year. It stays plugged in all the time and generally lives in the glovebox.

This is good info. I have never disconnected the controller. Bought a battery minder a couple years ago and just got in the habit of plugging it in. I remove the battery in winter when she goes into storage so never really was driven to troubleshoot the drain. Thanks.

I use my battery tender for winter charging, just to keep the batteries fully charged and ready to go.;)

Oh christ. How did I not think of that. Been getting a squeal from my alternator belt every time I've started my bronco for the past 3 months, and could not figure out where the parasitic drain was coming from

Nope, still squealing for about 5 seconds each time I start it. I am thinking its my battery isolator
