It needs to be a fully removable top.

The Isuzu Amigo was only the rear top removable, and didn't sell well (in part) because of that.

I see EB front with a lot of S-10 blazer in the side. BUT that being said, Ford used that basic trapezoidal rear side window shape on all fullsize Bronco's from 78 on. I can tell they tried to keep the EB/FSB cues and modernize them. I think it looks pretty good, but a removable top is needed.

At first I was thinking IF they brought the Bronco back it would be based on the international ranger much like the Everest. Fairly rugged body-on-frame 4-door SUV, which would probably most closely align with the 4Runner. I'm not sure there is enough market in that segment in North American to warrant Ford doing that. Then I started dreading that they would bring it back as a sub-compact SUV, a category that Ford has no player in, and a segment that has exploded in the last few years (Jeep Renegade, Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, Honda HRV etc). This would also give them a stable mate to expand the Lincoln SUV line up. But the Bronco name to me wouldn't work here for Ford and their mass market SUV naming convention (Explorer, Escape, Edge, Expedition). The Bronco name would not fit. The final thought is Bronco needs to be a standalone utility vehicle within Ford (much like it orginally was). All of Ford's current options in the SUV/CUV range are quite soft, more suited to carpools and shopping malls. A new Bronco could stand apart from that and be a direct competitor to the JK, which is what most of the speculation points to, and most enthusiasts want. I do think there is enough potential market there to introduce a player. They need to do it right though and listen to the enthusiasts, much like they appear to do with the Mustang crowd

I know you know this, but we won't be seeing a 5.0 in any forthcoming Bronco's, V-6 will be the top of the line with a straight 4 standard I'm betting. Would love it if Ford stuck in a Diesel though. Ford stuck a V-6 in the new GT, that's got to be saying something for the future of Ford's top of the line engines.

I'm sure you are right, Ford will screw it up and put a 6 in it. The new Raptor even has a V-6 instead of the V-8. That's why I'm trading in my Raptor on a 17 Superduty in a few months. ;)

I approve the front end. Put FORD letters on the horizontal bar. I like the the raised front fender tops.

The raised fenders have always been my favorite part of a bronco. Especially viewed from the driver's seat. If they build another one it'll have to have the fenders

Yes, FORD or BRONCO letters only. Never ever put the blue oval on there. It will lessen the exclusivity (if they make the unit worth calling exclusive). There is a reason Chevrolet never has put a bowtie or their name on the Corvette.

"Please, will someone at Ford walk over to the marketing department an pee in the coffee of the person/s responsible for this horrible name. EcoSport? Ugh."

I don't think someone is excited about this version as a Bronco

I think if they did the letters in revers like they do on the Super Duty's now it would be bitchin! Def no room for the blue oval on it sans maybe in the steering wheel or door sill like the originals had... For that matter make them red, keep it unique and honor the little 2 doors we love so much which spawned all of this in the first place. I loved the 04 concept but actually like this concept drawing better BUT it def needs a removable top and square the sides up some to get away from that damned S10 blazer look!

Going for that new aluminum F-150 body are ya?

I hear they are really roomy in the back if you have a crew cab and slightly smaller up front compared to the current S.D.
Those were seat of the pants observations by guys on the Powerstroke forum I use sometimes, I don't know the actual measurements.

On topic:

While I agree with the "listen to the enthusiasts" sentiment, in reality , they will listen to the "buyers".
At the end of the day, it has to be profitable.
I ran into this same scenario a few years back with Subaru and their recreated Legacy. The Legacy was always a very sporty car, now it is a mid-size. The old style enthusiasts HATED it , but the car has broken its own sales records every year since 2010 when it came out.
When Subaru made a GT version to power it up for the "enthusiasts" with a 6sp manual and turbo motor from the WRX , over three years combined they sold a paltry 1200 units.
In the end, I love that I have a really rare car that is fun as heck to drive ...

Soooo, if they build it , we MUST buy it .... in large quantities.

I really like what I can see of the orange one.
Are there more pics of it somewhere ?

The other one has some interesting ideas.
I like the fenders and how they raise up.
The grill is OK. Something about it not striking a chord with me, not sure what yet.
I like how they put the arrow straight body line down the entire length , a nod to the top of our bed rails/doors/fenders.
If that top came off , I bet it would look pretty damn cool.

I agree with many others here.
Top must be removable.
Solid axles would be sweet. Same reason I'll be buying a Super Duty instead of a 150 later.
I'm OK with the newer V-6's ... from what I understand, once you drive a CC F-150 with the new bigger ECO V-6, you'll be sold. My nephew works in sales for Ford. He has a lot of positive feedback for those motors.
