Hey ya'll
Tomorrow I heading to the junkyard to search for front disk brakes for the all ford conversion. I just wanted to know if there were any special tools that I need to bring with me to get everything from the knuckles out off a 78 -79 bronco. I called the yard today and they have 5 or 6 to choose from and a bunch of F150 4x4. Anything I need to watch out for?? Thanx

To loosen the rust:
A gallon or two of Liquid Wrench (or PB Blaster)
Propane torch

To remove the ball joint nuts:
3 or 4 foot long breaker bar
Impact socket set

Lineman's pliers to cut the old rubber brake hose
BFH
Tie rod end and/or ball joint pickle fork

Things to watch out for:

Snakes
Ants
Wasps (hornets, bees, whatever)

you will need a dana 44 hub socket (picture http://www.bcbroncos.com/hubsocket1.gif) and a ball joint socket (picture http://www.bcbroncos.com/balljointsocket1.gif). These sure do make the job easier. Make sure you take a couple small diameter flat blade 6" inch long screwdrivers. Take some GoJo hand cleaner with you..you will get greasy. 5 pound sledge.

Get the tie rod and draglink...you could do a TRO

also get any 4x4 steering gear boxes.
