no, no c4 install... I think Art may have had an ulterior motive for delaying his exit.:-X

now, back on track. I owe a debt of gratitude to Art, Dave and Randy for making quick work of dropping the old greasy drivetrain out saturday morning. thanks, it's much easier to push the bronco around the garage now!;D
Oh, and thanks again Dave for droping by last week and helping install my ball joints, finally able to get started on my steering. more on that later...

Ok, so now that I finally have the knuckles ready I could get started on my TRO steering mock up. I am using the one ton kit from ruffstuff. so to begin I attempted to swap in my power steering box only to find that I needed to cut out a bit of the bottom lip of the radiator support(I'll deal with that later).
then with that in place you can see my impromptu "jig" for making sure I had everything in the right place so I could take my measurements for cutting the tubing.
everything went together fairly smooth and nothing binds when moving the axle up and down, left and right.
so far I'm pleased with the results and now I can start fabing up my track bar and brackets.

thanks guys, was a pleasure hosting!

track bar fab work almost done... I made a riser bracket that mounts snug over the original track bar mount and will be welded on when complete. I still have to make a few more pieces to box in around the heim joint, but for now wanted to make sure what I had so far was good.
please excuse all the washers and oddball spacers holding things on for testing.;D
I also made a couple pieces to reinforce the track bar mount at the frame, they will be welded on tying it into the frame better and making it about 3/8" thick on either side.

flexes well and the up travel worked out well even with the straight track bar and riser on the axle, it just starts to kiss the oil pan when the duff arms hit the frame. so when I set my limits all will be good.

finished designing the rest of the components for the riser bracket, made them and welded it all up. seems like it should work out well and so far I'm pleased with the results.
