Did you change all the rubber in the lift gate? Make sure you change out the little rubber piece on the "anti theft post" on the tailgate.

I found the rattle was mostly between the tailgate and lift gate. That little sleeve seems to tighten things up. Buy a few of them, they tend to wear out and split.

I did. I even doubled it up thinking more is better. The latches have to be pushed down on the lift gate due to new dime size rubber bumpers (same with the tailgate). Did you completely remove your spare tire swing arm? Mine requires a decent amount of push to make it latch. I'm just running out of options. Starting to wonder if its somewhere in the latch mechanisms within both the tailgate and lift gate. Thanks for the input! Your Baja looks great as always.

I did not take off the spare tire arm. Chasing those rattles is a real pain.
Maybe sit back there and have someone else drive?

I'm using this new time off to install the offset bracket for the driver seat I bought from Bigjhoov.
Did a test fit on both the bracket and the seat. Fits great with no mods. It has two choices for the offset. 2 inch or 4 inch. I'm backing the seat up 4 inches. The slider works normally so it can always be pulled forward if needed. Since there are no modifications necessary it's easy to go back to stock if needed. Should finish it up today.

Finished up mounting the seat today. For the first time ever I moved the slider forward to a comfortable position.
What a great mod for the taller driver with stock seats.
Images are sideways for some reason. never had that happen before.

I also changed out my original Stroppe steering wheel for a reproduction one I bought from Andrew Norton. My original is pretty worn and I want to preserve it as is. I think the new one looks great. It feels right also. Thanks Andrew.
