So I just got this whole kit and the dual distributor and I have a 99 explorer intake and injectors-with the 99 4r70w questions as follows;
The injector plug harness does is not the same plugs for my injectors, how to fix that?
The old explorer harness had a crank timing, am I not using this but instead is the distributor controlling this now?
Also where is everyone mounting the ecu at?
This kit came with only 1 o2 sensor and the explorer had 2 that I had mounted in my colector down pipes is that correct?
I'm sure I'll have more questions but hopefully not with the more I get installing this system
Thanks for any help

Not exactly sure on the injectors. I think you can get the correct injector harness for the factory injectors or new ends for your harness.

The dual sync dizzy takes care of all the timing so no need for your Explorer crank timing
Yes only 1 O2 sensor standard on the Holley.

They make adapters that go between the injector and harness …. I went to a bigger injector and had to use them … The performance Mustang places so have them. You have to identify your injector plug they are named of the style they are
Dual distributors ? You mean coil packs.. ? It's Ford EDIS system, YES you need a the crank trigger to make it work. You need a special Harmonic balancer to make that work.
My ECU went in the center of Fire wall in an Escape box , lots of info here for that set up
O2s should be fine

Dual distributor is probably the Holley Dual Sync distributor. They are marketed pretty heavily to go with the Holley branded EFI.

I had no issues with running the stock Duraspark distributor after locking out the mechanical and vacuum advance. Syncing the trigger to the rotor is easy by rotating the trigger to the distributor body (using what you used to lock out the vacuum advance). Holley doesn't tell you this, they would rather make money on selling there own distributor.

Tiko433; yes I did order the adapter harness to use my existing uscar injectors. Hoping this system will still work with my explorer returnless fuel in tank fuel pump
Broncobowsher; yes I did get the Holley duel sync distributor, which means I don't need the crank trigger that the old explorer used correct?

Correct, crank trigger is useless if you have a distributor in place.
Returnless fuel system still has a regulator and a fixed fuel pressure. It is not a dead headed fuel pump. All fo the returnless fuel systems I have worked with have the regulator built into the fuel pump module inside the tank.
