...when my son in law gets here I will be able to put the softop on.

I hope that top has been spending quality time inside the house! Or if it's not too cold, at least in the sun for awhile before trying to install.
Gotta' let that material stretch back out to fit.

Good luck.

I just bought a painless wiring harness and I’m afraid!

Yeah, but you know you're in good company here! Plenty of friends to ride herd and shotgun for you.
It's only intimidating until you actually rip out the old stuff and then the smile starts forming.

Unless you're starting from a bare body, that's the first best step.
Just remember, don't throw anything away until you're done!

Oh, and to paraphrase that great scene in The Graduate... "I've got one word for you... "Grounds.""

Work on my passenger door today. These are Bronco Design fiberglass doors. I love the weight and quality. But they require a lot of work to make the fully functional. I will say the are noticeably lighter then steel doors. Im using lift of hinges and I have a set of trail doors for the summer. Funny I will drop money on a performance and suspension but I can’t bring myself to rebuild these vent windows. They don’t open with my cage anyway

great products they have for sure..

I spend a lot of time in my shop, and I don't like wearing anything with zippers when I am working on the bronco so I keep the shop a nice and toasty 72 degrees all the time. I had a decent heater a couple years ago, but it was not up to the task so last year I upgraded to a sterling 150,000 BTU forced air heater that keeps my 40 x 60 shop nice and warm no matter what the temp is outside.

Mocking these up. If it all works out, I'll get them tacked in tomorrow, then I can order the shocks.

Great product...you'll be surprised how easy it is. If you didn't get the version with connections already installed, you will have sore hands at the end of it.;D

Power probe = continuity tester or tool that senses 12V DC?

I did a harness replacement on my '59 F100 years ago and recall it going smoothly. I just took my time, one circuit at a time and it turned out great. Good luck!

the power probe is kind of an all in one tool that once you have it you will find it amazingly useful. it attaches to the positive and negative posts of your battery. then you can test wires with it, if you touch a wire that is hot, it will indicate that it is positive, and tell you what the voltage is, if you touch a wire that is grounded it will indicate a ground. you can use it to test continuity, if you press one of the buttons it will apply 12 volts to the circuit and it has an immediate cut off so if the circuit is shorted, or a ground it won't damage anything, but it will power the circuit and confirm if the circuit is working without having to have the rest of the wiring done. it has its own ground wire so you can determine if a circuit isn't working because of the power side, or the ground side, or if whatever you are trying to power is bad, like a light, you can use it as a remote starter or any number of other things. it is a tool I use very frequently. I have done 3 cars now with the aaw harness and this tool is a lifesaver in my opinion.

Thanks for the wiring tips and tool suggestions. I did purchase the direct fit kit, so I'm hoping most of the connectors are attached.
