Finally got my console bolted in with my amp mounted to the bottom. Installed a new drag link and removed the steering stabilizer. Drove fine with no death wobble for the two mile test drive to the gas station. Maybe I can leave it off. Steers better without it. Got exhaust tips installed. And finally got around to cutting some metal for my custom 3" body gap filler for the front. Then got sidetracked while I had the plasma torch going and spent the rest of the day cutting up scrap metal to repurpose on a long list of DIY builds. I watch way too much YouTube. That’s some pretty work on that console.

What size tire are you getting? I paid $1200 for five 33" mud terrains mounted and balanced. Yes they are real expensive these days.

Ive heard good things about Coopers and never ran them before so Im giving them a shot.

Cooper Discoverer STT Pro All-Season 35X12.50R15LT 113Q Tire

Man they are aggressive for an All Season, more so than my BFG KM2 Muds. Amazon actually have decent prices on them.

Painted the inside of the grill and then did a Hollander's version of a front end alignment.

Did it have Death Wobble before? Is that why the new tires?
Got quite the steep angle on the links still, it looks like from here at least. How high are you lifted?
Anything planned to get the angles down a bit?

Paul
No death wobble but the steering was all over the road. Lot of slop from the worn drag link. It would flip back and forth on the tie rod and the truck would dart slightly in the direction you turn. It just felt loose. At the same time the steering was harder than I liked with the stabilizer. All seems fixed now, but I need to get a lot more driving time to make sure. Will be installing a riser bracket on the axle soon, I think a better angle on my track bar will help too. I have 3.5 WH lift.

I broke the motor in mine yesterday. Time for the 347 build
I thought I had skipped a tooth on the timing chain. I started tearing it down and found a suspect crank trigger wire. I already had the new gear and chain set so I went ahead and took the cover off. It had not jumped a tooth but it needed a chain pretty bad. I ordered new pigtails for the cam and crank position sensors. Also picked up a new crank sensor. Pretty sure my broken wire is the cause. It was making intermittent contact causing the motor to run crappy. So I will throw these parts at it and hope for the best. I was on borrowed time with the chain so this was a good thing, right?
