Cut off some of the frame for steering clearance

Started playing with my 3 link mounts and eyeballing where theyll be mounted. Been playing with the 3 link calculator but still need to figure alot of it out.

Got the thermostat housing, intake manifold, carb, new valve covers, distributor, and new air cleaner installed. I'll need to replace the lower radiator hose and refill the cooling system later this weekend.

It all went smoothly, but, if I'm honest, I'm worried I didn't lay a thick enough bead of RTV at the front and rear of the valley, so fingers crossed

Yup, leaking water at the front passenger head/gasket. So, a re-seal is happening next week

Day 47 to 60 of frame being divorced from the body. I’m really not sure how long.

Did not plan on working on the bronco, but it rained late today so this is the indoor project of the day. Only got one side done. But it’s better than none side.

New tires, fixed my hazard/blinkers with grounded flashers for leds, fixed sticky brake light switch, and grounded the radio better. Fixing little annoying things is satisfying. Need to get my gas gauge working!

Installed my rebuilt steering box. It was converted to hydro assist steering 10 plus years ago by Red Neck Ram - West Texas Off Road. I was having a jerky over-steering issue and tried everything to fix. Ball joints. adjustable track bar, bushings, toe-in adjustments, rebuilt ram, etc. Nothing helped and it kept getting worse. Test drove it today with the new box and no more jerky steering!

Cussed it like a dog today! LOL
I'm ready to try fuel injection because no carb seems to work for it. It's either fuel out the top or no fuel, just no in between no matter the adjustments etc. #%^+!

Just installed a TBP 23 gallon fuel tank and decided to go back to a charcoal canister cause the old gas tank the PO put in didn’t even have vents. Found a thread on here and use a new canister off LMR a guy posted about. Drove her around today and parked it around 2pm. Maybe it’s cause it didn’t have vents before, but boy can I smell gas vapors now when I open my garage. I really don’t wanna plug the vents, but I was not too pleased with the new canister I bought. Unless I have it hooked up wrong, not sure why I’m getting so much extra aroma. But she drove fine and the new bigger tank makes it feel better to park it after a few hours of driving cause the tank is on 1/2 instead of E!!

Intake manifold re-sealed/re-gasketed and tried a different fuel line routing to the carb with an Edelbrock fuel line. Made a new air cleaner post with some stainless allthread stock. Hopefully, I'll get it running this week to make sure I'm done redoing the intake manifold. Next on the list will be getting the correct heater control valve cable and rerouting the heater hoses to further clean up the engine bay.

Finished up rear passenger body mount today.

Also, which was actually pretty complicated for me to figure out was the passenger floor pan body mount. But I think it turned out well.

This frame is definitely coming back nicely.

Replaced a broken brake shoe cable and a few springs while I had it apart. Tightened loose spare tire carrier. Tomorrow is broken horn wire.
