Terrorized downtown Corona and parts of Riverside today looking for fire-extinguishers with roll cage mounts. None of the box stores keep these in stock apparently. Guess I'll go through the jungle website.

Longest drive in the Bronco so far and went pretty good. Got a couple thumbs up, and one guy asked if it was a Scout. At least he didn't mistake it for the dreaded JEEP. 😂

I got my '67 tailgate back from a local metal fabricator. The bottom was rusted through, and went up higher than the available patch panels cover. I bought a dent/scratch new tailgate and he was able to transplant what he needed. He also filled a few holes as well as cutting off the anti-theft posts. Previous owner stripped the holes and then welded them back on, I have some new(old) ones coming from North East Classic Ford Parts. I treated the inside with Eastwood's Cavity spray so it won't rust again. Very happy with how it turned out, I want to save as much original metal as possible on this bronco.

After a slumber lasting two days shy of 4 months, I changed fuel and air filters, checked/topped fluids - fired right up (I cranked a bit with the coil disconnected). Let it run while I topped tire pressures and off for test drive - all well.

"Little darling, it's been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Doo doo doo doo
Here comes the sun and I say
It's alright"

Daily driving starts tomorrow - whoohoo!

I broke it, not sure what I broke but its broken lol. I tried to do a burnout (still 18 at heart) got a big popping sound and had to drive home 500ft in FWD. Rear drive shaft is fine, no leaks, I'm afraid I broke a tooth off of some gear somewhere. So I did the right thing, and worked on the hood instead of diagnosing my problem :ROFLMAO:

Put 92 octane in 3x today! 5 gal to get me to tax free 92 octane (saved a $1.20/gal) where I put in 15 more to fill it & then 11 more gallons to get me home after wheeling all day.

Snow was getting sparse but both Tim's & I had a fun day! Probably the last snow wheeling day down there. Lots of snow at 6k north of my place still

First time my doors have been on for almost 3 yrs. Took my wife up some nasty stuff 2 wks ago & she's not as excited to get mud chunks on her legs, face etc with the tube doors on so... :)

Couple more simple mods complete.

After reading on here about hood issues I went ahead and made some easy supports out 3/4 x 3/4 steel tube from the local ACE. Easy project, ended up tacwelding them in on the inside bottom of the edge of the hood.

Moved on to the point of that project to I could do this project... Hood struts.
Easy peasy, just had to move the Radiator overflow on one side and then the MC on the other.

And then.... got to the reason I had to do the hood support and then hood struts...
Installed the Air Dam / Tool Trays to the front. Probably the easiest mod/upgrade I've done on this yet.

One of these days I'll get around to replacing that old Air Cleaner. Thinking I should go with a tall filter so it sticks out the top of the hood!🤘

I hate wiring! But here we go...My last build before I focus on my Baja. I am done!
I have been working on wiring as well. Slow and tedious.
