I took the top off my half cab for the first time. I built a simple cam-lock strap hoist system to lift it off which allows the Bronco to park under it. I can raise it higher to actually be above the top of the windshield frame, but I've left it low in the pic to be able to get it down easier to work on it. It need the inside painted and some other touch up work.

Does installing a heater in the garage and insulating the walls so that I can work on it without freezing my a$$ off count?

Close enough.

I Put in new floor mats and column cover. Found that the weathertech boot tray works well for a one piece rear mat.

Installed new transfer case mounts. They were so crushed the new ones put my angles brace where they are supposed to be, and allowed for my 351w to come off from resting on the firewall bulkhead.

I may need to do that. I noticed the other day mine were looking a little rough.

Tonight I installed drain and fill plugs in my 9" axle housing. Put the the drain dead center on the bottom, and the fill dead center on the top. I realize the third member has a fill port, but think filling from the top will be a bit easier. As far as the drain, I think it will be the only way to fly. In order to drain you have to crack the third loose, that seems absurd to me. Right now I am testing my drain for leaks. A bit of water with red food coloring, paper towel below should tell me if it dripped. Correct me if I am wrong, if water does not leak, I should be good, right?

I started working on my "stealth" winch bumper in the front. It's 2x4" steel tube and the winch plate will mount between the frame rails behind the bumper. Once it's all done, the stock bumper will bolt on over the outside of it to make it look almost completely stock with the exception of the fairlead in the center.

The rear is going to get a similar treatment with a spindle for my tire carrier rack in the back.

Received my 1 in body lif in the mail. I thought it was a given you always open your boxes asap. I'll get it slowly but surely.

Any one in the San Antonio area that (NW) is fimilure with fi tech and adding the gas tank. I'd rather have some one that knows what they are doing, I'll help but I'm extremely limited. I'm having shoulder trouble.
If your interested pm me and we can work out payment details.
Thanks.

yes, since the viscosity of water is thinner than gear oil you should be good. used a flush mount plug correct. I think they all should have came from the factory with a drain, and transmission pans as well.

Yes, plug is flush, if not even a bit deeper. I used a plug made by Currie, 1/2" hole. The flange that it screws to requires a 1.125" hole be drilled. Really nice piece, I'd say.

Man I like that. Any way to cut that so it slides over the frame to get it closer to the grill? Im guessing that would not give enough room for the winch ?

If I dropped the winch down I could probably push the bumper back further. I'm going to play around with it when the winch and plate get here next week. But the radiator and joints are back there too so it's gong to get cramped quick. Haha
