I would really like to make it but with three kids and non stop crap going on it is going to be tuff! If I can I wouldnt mind helping with the lift and watching the gear install. I hope to know if I can make it for sure by the end of this week! For once a MEB event is kind of close to my place (1.5 hour away)!

Sorry for the hi-jack! Now lets get back to the W&R. Who's coming to turn wrenches (and other assorted tools) and the watch Bill turn the pig??? The first two W&R's were great successes and we have to maintain that protocol, so add your name to the list of gearheads heading to Piney Point next weekend. We'll take all the help we can get!!

You can offically sign me up, got my room just now (may be bringing another wrencher like last year, but not confirmed yet). I'm going to regret this (especially that dana 44 ), but sign me up for the gear swaps if no one is doing them yet.

Any chance "we" are picking up a solid shim pack for that 9? (in other words, no crush sleeve)..........

BTW, I assume since you are doing susp, that we can remove that front axle. so much easier to do pinion depth when it's out of the rig. Also, what brand gears and/or can you get picks ahead of time of any markings on the gears?

I was counting on you to volunteer for the dif work, Ox! That's also one of 'my areas of expertise' but since I'm a long way from recovering from my back surgery, I'm limited to pointing and hand waving..%) And yes..the axles will be 'out' and I have axle stands that put 'em at a nice working height.

9" shim pack..I should have plenty...will double check.

What are you using on the raw steel cage and skid plate? POR-15 or paint? either way I can bring a spray gun. If you need paint I can get that too.

Good question Allen!! David?....whatcha got in mind? I do not have any POR-15 except maybe some grey and I'm probably out of black paint altogether.

I can get POR right up the street from my work. If you get POR direct from them shipping is vey quick here on the east coat.
We would need to get it painted first thing since it takes forever to dry.

Its one of Mike Kirkus' kits...some assembly required first. LOL. Certainly should be possible to get it knocked out Saturday with enough time left to paint it last thing Saturday evenging though..I would think?;)

I wasn't even thinking of paint! When it comes to paint I'm far from picky; just let me know what's easier & better for our time constraints and Ill get how much of whatever you suggest. Eastwood's a few minutes up the road from me, if that makes the decision easier.

Oh...... my wife's trying to figure out how much of what to get, as far as food, drinks or anything else guys may want. She even took an extra vacation day to go shopping while I was at work. If anyone has any suggestions/ requests (other than if she has sisters:p), let me know & Ill pass it on.

The food organizing has quite a few volunteers already...we just need to get all of them connected.:p
