Just curious what's going on with that lower power steering bolt hole?
On the steering box?Just curious what's going on with that lower power steering bolt hole?
Notch it for what? Will you need to notch the tank?'
He’s probably wondering how far you moved the rear axle back. Anything beyond 2-3” usually requires either notching or moving the fuel tank.Notch it for what?
That’s what I was thinking. Thank you. He’s probably wondering how far you moved the rear axle back. Anything beyond 2-3” usually requires either notching or moving the fuel tank.
Steel-it, I’ve always read and seen good things about it. This is my first time using it so I hope it holds up in the long run. It lays down really nice and is thicker than normal paint.Just curious, but what specific paint did you use on the frame? I would guess it was satin black but is it specifically? It looks pretty good.
Thank you for that. I have been using VHT Engine paint for quite awhile and it works. You can touch it up and it looks ok etc. But yours looks a lot nicer and cleaner. I will check that out.Steel-it, I’ve always read and seen good things about it. This is my first time using it so I hope it holds up in the long run. The frame is a ‘69, not sure about the tub. I got the small marti report and it said my VIN was a candy apple red paint job and this tub does not appear to have been repainted at all. So I’m assuming the tub and frame are not original to each other.Interesting. Your body tub now looks like a 72 or 73.
So you say it’s a 68?
I want to say the wheels are 4-1/2” back space.Question, did you ever get an over all width?
I’m assuming the wheels are 4-1/2” back space? Or are they 5”?
It’s coming together. Can’t wait to see it moving under its own power!
