    Saw the title and feared the worst... Fire or accident was. 1st thing that came to mind. Glad it wasn't that! Sounds more like a flesh wound. Hope you make a quick recovery. Checking grounds is good advice and great place to start.

    Really big greasy stuff goes to the do it yourself car wash. Smaller stuff goes into harbor freight parts washer filled with mineral based solvent

    Yes it fits. All the Windsor engines(221,260,289,302,351,5.0&5.8) used the same bolt pattern for the timing cover. Bolt pattern on the heads, for the accessory brackets is also the same. Should be a bolt up.

    Yes, studs are for wire harnesses on the stock Explorer 5.0. Just go to a bolt supply place and get 3 1/4" long grade 8 bolts and you should be good...

    Make sure you lube the rubber seal with oil too so it doesn't start up dry. Does the crank have a groove worn in it?

    Do you do your own work?

    I'd like to say I do all my own work but truth be told I have a couple of very good friends that are like MacGyver, can fix damn near anything. So I lean on them pretty heavily for my projects and upgrades. Awesome to have good friends to help! :)
