    Happened to me too with my Mustang. Exploded a stainless steel muffler... :( In my case it was a bad coil.

    If I remember correctly, I bought shorties from Wild Horses. Then I cut and turned them so i could get fenderwell exit.

    Rustbucket, Since you didn't get the harmonic off means that you didn't get the timing cover either, right? Explorer timing cover is different from all others, as I understand it. No boss for fuel pump and skinnier than others. All the pieces work together to keep the belt in the same plane...

    I essentially did this with my stock tank and haven't had any issues so far. A little bit of head scratching and fabrication, but do-able.

    Have you tried a 3 jaw puller? I had stuck drums and got them off with a big set of jaws. used a length of pipe on the ratchet wrench for additional leverage.

    5.8 manifold options

    Any chance you can take a pic from one side to the other, right at fender level. Trying to judge how high it sticks up... Anybody know how the Edelbrock, Trickflow and Lightning manifolds stack up against the others? Wondering how they perform airflow wise... I have the Lightning piece right...
