Carbs just don't like the whoop-de-dos and offcamber stuff out there. I think you would really dig fuel injection. It just keeps going. Don't care what angle you are on... I'd say get a Lightning intake but it might not flow enough for the 408...
When I was carb'd and serp set up I used the oil pressure cut off switch as well. Also added a momentary switch so I could manually fill the fuel bowl on the carb. Came in handy after sitting all winter...
I went this route too. Bought 2 NP205s off craigslist for $50 & $75. Much easier to stomach the cost compared to the Atlas.
Also, if I recall correctly the 205 weighs about 40 lbs more than the 20...
