    pitman HELP-update

Well, I've got the toyoda setup, and with the Chevy tierod ends on my 3.5" lift I don't have much of a problem at all. It's starting to loosen up but I think that's just things wearing out. People thought that once you reamed out the yoda box for the chevy end there wouldn't be anything left. I...

    Bronco lean

Here's my synopsis, I have a wristed radius arm, always unpinned. I have no stress from one radius arm to the other. I have a good case of Bronco lean. I have noticed, when I put the trans in gear, the truck does lean to the left a little. The combination of soft springs, and the constant in and...

    Aod

Oh yeah, TV cable, sorry, bit too much to drink that night.

    Aod

an AOD doesn't need a computer, just a kickdown lever, so if you have a way to hook that up, I think you'd be good. Does your computer harness have the AODE part to it? I would think if your harness has provisions for the AODE then go for it, but an AOD would work regardless.

    How does tailight wiring work?

Ok, I'm tired. I only answered half of your question. Yes, the housing is the ground, the other two wires do go to each of the two filiments. Sorry. I have worked 4 days worth in the last two days. I can't do anything correct right now.

    How does tailight wiring work?

If I remember right, there are four wires back there for each taillight. They are: stop/turn tail(clearance) reverse ground As you stated, the backup lights won't be used on your truck. The ground, obviously, get's grounded to a source that ends up at the frame or body(if not fiberglass). If I...

Front hub spindle nut won't budge - tips or tricks?

doesn't the nuts with the four tab holes hold on the bearings that hold the hub onto the spindle? So now that he's got the two nuts and locking washer off... he's trying to remove the bearings and hub.... right skrit? Anyway, sounds like the outer bearing may have spun on the spindle and...

    Head Light Installation

I've got a Kentrol setup and I didn't have any problems getting my headlights mounted... I drilled a hole for the springs and I think the two adjusters had two screw mounting tabs. So I drilled a large hole for the center bolt and two for the mounting screws. I got the adjusters from...

    ? about a body lift

If I remember correctly, I had to use some straps to hold the axle from moving forward, as I jacked up the axle to align the radius arms and their mounts. Then tighening up the straps slid the arms in with no problem. Just be careful, as this now sounds very dangerous to me and I'm supprised it...

    ? about a body lift

You shouldn't have any problems cutting them down. However, like Vuke said, make sure the cuts are straight. I cut two of my pucks down when I replaced the wood support under my Kentrol body with a steel channel. No big deal. Have fun! go wheeling

Trying to avoid knocking my teeth out! Please Help

I'm starting to think that the lean comes from soft suspension springs, and depends on the stresses the tiresput in the suspension at the point of parking. I have a wristed arm, I leave it unlocked all the time. I STILL have the lean. Mine leans to the left, I blame it on me pulling myself in...

28 splined locker and axles Vs 31

I'm running stock '66 28sp axles with a mini spool and 35" BFG muds. I'm not hard on it, well..... no too hard. that pic to the left is the front ring gear. I've done some fairly hard stuff and so far they have held up ok.

brake lights and turn signals not working

If the WD-40 works, then the problem sounds like the contacts are just getting a little dirty. If you take the wheel off and have access to the switch check the contact point. Try a simple cleaning with either a small file or some medium grit sand paper. You don't need to remove too much metal...

Re-Attaching Drag link to pitman arm

just use two hammers on either side of the link, hit simultaniously, and the drag link just falls out. removal is easier, installation is just as easy as putting a bolt in a hole and tightening it.
