I've got the flaming river polished stainless steel with auto column shifter with an AOD and it was not a problem to make the shifter work. The quality is very good. I got mine from Wild Horses and the shift rod kit they sell it what I used.

All you need is a VSS sensor you can get one from the auto parts store or BCB sells them. It will go in place of your speedo cable in the transfer case. Ryans harness has the plug that plugs directly into it. But you will have to splice into the positive wire coming out of VSS to get the signal...

I guess I should have included that I'm using the Advance Adapters AOD kit if that makes any difference.
