What have you done to your Bronco today?

It is a '73 Explorer and was originally purchased in Littlefield, TX. Spent most of its life (by years) in SW Oklahoma. Someone in Pennsylvania purchased it from the original family for a restomod. Thankfully, they came to their senses when they looked it over and found it to be very...

What have you done to your Bronco today?

Woken from winter slumber. Not much over the winter, just a new fuse subpanel and some new shoes.

Brake lights and hazards not working- replaced turn signal switch did not fix it

Auto transmission? Isn't the neutral safety switch part of the backup light circuit?

Bronco won’t start- need your help!

If it were me, I would see if the starter would turn over with the screwdriver on the solenoid trick. If so, then with the key turned to "RUN" and using the screwdriver trick to turn the starter. This would help in troubleshooting. If this was simple points. Running a positive 12V jumper to...

    AL Bikini Top

I have this one available - It will need a cleaning. I would consider it "driver condition". I had the strap points reinforced at an upholstery shop.

    BAT Craziness

I had a chuckle at this - "A Lecarra steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer encircled by auxiliary gauges for voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure." Who writes this stuff and for whom?

    Lokar kickdown cable vs others

If you look closely, I did the same with some heatshrink tubing. You can dial in when the kickdown happens. It should not be sluggish.

    Cassette player

I was a bit unclear, I am casually looking for one and that one pictured is early-mid 80s from ebay (Mustang, Econoline, etc). I just thought it looked the part and I like knobs better than buttons.

    Cassette player

Mine was cut for a 1-DIN radio. I was thinking about using a FOMOCO stereo from the 80s. Does anyone know if these are 1-DIN? They seem larger in photos -

    Best stock suspension

Back in late 2014, I purchased a stock height kit (#13753) from Bronco Graveyard. It replaced the harsh non-oem suspension that was on my Bronco when I purchased it. That was over 90k miles ago. Nothing negative to say and still performs fine.

    Kickdown Cable Hitting Valve Covers

I am also using the stock linkage for throttle. Here is a photo of my setup.

    Kickdown Cable Hitting Valve Covers

My Lokar cable did the same. I just swapped the cable head to the other side of the carb linkage. Picture here - https://classicbroncos.com/forums/threads/lokar-kickdown-cable-vs-others.321830/#post-3517246

    Roll up tool bag options.

That is the one that has been in my Bronco for years. I do place it in a "box" with supporting stuff like fluids, funnels, bottle jack, etc. Paul and Amy are great to work with. Peace.

Overweight or featherweight? EB weights- what does yours tip the scales at?

Here was my result from August - Had an opportunity to weight it my local feed store. I have a BC Broncos soft top and about 150-200 pounds of tools/supplies and fuel onboard at the time.

The Tricky EcoBoost Early Bronco Build

Years ago, I removed my dash to get it recovered. I paused. I have not bothered getting it recovered. I do not miss it.

oil sender reading vs mechanical guage..

Sorry, if I was vague. Oil gauge: I installed a liquid filled motorcycle gauge via a "tee" off the end of the stock extender - allowing stock sender and manual gauge. It is tight, but works fine. Temp sender: I had an issue with the older (smaller) style temp sensor used in the early 60s...
