Growing up around here, all the dealers used metal license plate frames. I always hated the habit of other dealers in other areas, of putting their cast metal logos on the back of the bodies of the vehicles. I’m not against advertising, just that I thought it was cheesy to drill holes into a new vehicle to put your name on it. That’s something that the car owner could do, but not the dealer!
But now that all those vehicles are vintage, those old dealer emblems are just cool beyond words.
Some things just go around and come around!
And yes, we moved into the old Geweke (geh-vee-kee) Ford dealership In Lodi after they closed down.
