My 76 bronco is doing exact same thing. The other gauges are fine but oil pressure when you start the engine it just starts climbing about 85 I changed out the sender to a new motor craft today supposed to be the right one for this gauge. same as my 65 mustang When I started the engine up 10,000 miles ago new I put a mechanical gauge on there and it reads about 45 , Subscribe to this I’ll be watching to see what you guys come up with

Some of my Fords are actually 90-100 when cold and new/good bearings (on aftermarket mechanical gauges)
Sure that is not the case (does it come down when engine warm?)

I apologize for a quick hack of this thread but I have to ask what is this IVR you speak of? My fuel gauge doesn't work, my voltage meter pegs out and my oil pressure is always at about 90. The only thing useful is the temp gauge.

My oil pressure is always pegged and so is my temperature gauge tonight I changed out the dash gauge voltage regulator. Everything works perfect now should’ve done it along time ago not easy to get to from under the hood OK through the fresh air vent well not perfect gas gauge reads half when it’s full temperature reads 120 after running it for an hour so still working on it
