Low compression engine VIN question

I was noticing this former South American Bronco on BaT - ex-Colombian truck that we see from time to time.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-ford-bronco-199/

The Marti and repop warranty tag indicates a low compression 302 (engine code 7) which we've started noticing more of lately. However, the VIN on the frame has a 'G' in it for a regular 302.

Shouldn't those both match?

Anyone ever checked out the earlier 6 cylinder Colombian trucks to see if the frame VIN and Marti/warranty tag VIN match?

TIA,
Todd Z.

That would be a good question for Ricardo Tamayo on FB, he's got half a dozen of them.

Probably not any more consistently than the rest of the Broncos did.
We run into discrepancies between the two relatively often I would say, even with US Broncos. A letter off here, a number off there…
And was the coordination between the frame line and the engine line consistent enough to where, when the two meet, they’re always right on the money?
I’m not sure how that was done back then.

With as few Export models that were made it wouldn't surprise me if they had Fred walk the line during the build and just hand pick the parts for the line workers to install. This one is special, put the kilometer speedometer in instead. Nothing in the VIN, but a special broadcast sheet for the special builds. Use one of "those other" engines in the corner on this build.
