nothing fancy on this build, for the axles just brushing on POR15.
will be dragging them over rocks...someday.;D

Well that sounds better than crayons or permanent markers for a paint job. Build is looking good from where I sit. Keep up the good work!

....they are the finishing touches to my front differential cover armor.
1/4" steel plate I formed up to fit around the bottom and up and over the ring gear. hopefully will add some protection if a tire slips and the axle comes crashing down.

here it is all welded up.

Thanks guys

thinking I may add a small flush mount pipe plug at the bottom to be able to drain it without having to pull the cover.

Looking good B!

I've gotta keep an eye out for those transfer case mount brackets. My frame didn't come with them. I saw a set in eBay for $60 but I want super cheap and within driving distance.

Tonight I tack welded the new lower bearing in my '76 auto column then threw on some new paint. lucky for me the upper bearing and everything else inside the column was in good shape so I saved some time by not having to take it all apart. might have to find a new shifter arm though, the one out of this one is pretty pitted.
