I thought you were sending it to a hot rod builder...

Didn't work out. We talked a couple times then he kinda flaked on me. Then I didn't follow up. That's why I don't like dealing with shops. Even very reputable ones.

I might revisit the idea but I also want my kids to see me see this through.

I didn't mean to bring you down. I love your vision for this one and want to encouage you to hang tough. Life happens...

It's a marathon...not a sprint.

If you are looking for a guy...I might know a guy who would help a brother out...

It will happen with time. I have decided it's best to not even make a list. That way you don't get discouraged by seeing what all has to be done. Just do what you can when you can. It will always be there!

Anton, don't worry about it man. Pistola got pushed aside more than once. All in all, it took me 10 years to finish it. Why don't you sell me one of the other projects? I need back in the game. LOL.

Well, it’s almost been 4 years since I’ve posted on this thread. Time flies! The lubr has been at a shop for a little more than two years and is almost done! It was test fired yesterday and ran great. We had a setback with the transmission and some clatter so it’s coming out to have the torque converter, flywheel and flex plate checked.

I’ll post up some pics in the coming days... happy to be back y’all.

wow, great work. I personally think you have to have a great sense of accomplishment by doing it yourself and not paying the "flaky guy" great work. 30 minutes per day can go a long way.

Finally getting there... drove it for the first time in about 8 years. Damn I can’t believe it’s been that long. Waiting on the rear bumper to get back from chrome and the interior shop can’t take it till mid May. It’s been this long what’s another couple months. Also going to put 2.5” springs on the front instead of the 3.5”. Getting closer.
