I look at you rig and I think "WOW" the time you have spent fabricating, The "fear" you had of wiring. Not to mention how much it must be costing to build this thing and your ability to see this build through till it is on the trail..... Good job man! cant wait to see the videos of you wheeling it!

It's really not a 'WOW' Bronco... but thanks for the compliment. I am still dealing with wiring, I am now dreading the body work... and my welding could use some more practice- a lot more practice!

It has had its ups and downs, and I certainly didn't make anything easy on myself. I wish I had been more thorough in some areas as there are some things I would like to have seen done better.

Cost- its a lot less than you may think. A lot of the parts were bought second hand or were things I had from prior rigs. It has cost me more stress and gray hair than I would have preferred....

So tied up a lot more loose ends today. Got the Holley avenger EFI working and downloaded the latest software to work with the TFI Dizzy. Getting all hi-tech when you need to use a laptop in a crawler!!

The Holley program has a cool dashboard with all the important stuff!

I don't know why Flex-A-Lite relay control uses a negative ground switch setup. The Carling rockers aren't set up to run this way. I rewired the switch, but the indicator won't light up due to the reverse wiring required. Oh well.

Only real gremlin I have found is after installing a brake light switch. It appears that when I step on the brakes- the headlight relay is toggled on... i will track that down later.

Getting close to firing the engine!!

The fan relay works that way to work with most oem ecm's they ground the relay to control the fan.

The Holley ECM has a fan control built in, I could have used this to a standard relay. I didnt think it was a ground switch though.

The FAL setup uses its own temp sensor and has speed control based on temp as well as a manual on and manual off switch potential.

Looks like some cool software. Crazy how tunning can easily go with a keystroke instead of a screwdriver. Builds looking great sir.

So- bored at lunch today- I went back thru alot of the thread and thought it was intersting at the 'progress'. Most of it coming in the first two years and the pic where it all slowed down should be obvious...

June 2013- the day it came home

June 2014- Year one down- Tons of progress

June 2015- Year two gone- progress comes to a slow crawl...

June 2016- Year three passed... more progress, but wiring still slow.

I hope the end of year 4 (June 2017), I can post a pic of it on the trail somewhere. I need to get cracking- thats just 3 months away!!

I hope you get it done... I may be up in NE this summer and will make a trip up to see the progress- maybe go for a ride!!

I believe you are correct sir. Would you believe I am down to only four wires hanging out the driver side door!!!:cool:

These are extra circuits and I am leaving them for now- I may have a use for them once its running.

You've been so busy driving this that you forgot to give us updates? ;D:cool:

Nothing wrong w/that right :)

I wish... rewired some stuff, had a very busy summer and now coaching my kids football team. Even less motivation is that I bought an RZR XP1000 crawler. Not as much fun as a purpose built crawler, but it has occupied my free time (and cash). Still working on it... but slower still, if that's possible.

We are doing Potts Mountain in November near Blacksburg, VA if its ready to test by then. It would be good to see you again.
My trail rig (The Skunk) is not as fierce but she is a ton of fun.
