Bend tech... Who needs bend tech??

This was one piece that I bent back on itself and cut while it was in the bender. I have bend tech, but free handed this one. I thought I would have to cut and splice two tubes, but I think it came out OK.

Got a little more done today. I should have something to bolt fenders too soon! I have to get the passenger floorboard done so I can get the new body mounts in and weld the plates to the body under the hood. Progress!

I wish. Even if I had the front tube work done, I have yet to teardwon my other crawler to rob parts. Even if that were done- I don have the rear suspension started, no wiring or plumbing done... never mind a cage and seats!!! Long way to go!!

Long day with little progress. I swapped the rear D60 out of the Bronco for the one under my crawler.

Smooth bottom D60 with spool, 35spline shafts, disk brakes and a 1410 yoke. I have an Artec truss that should be here Monday for it.

Also picked up and order some more parts. Got an RCI fuel cell to go with my EFI, new body mounts and ordered another set of coil over shocks for the rear.

Just a little progress is still progress. Think you'll be done by fall? Be cool to get a bunch of broncos together in Harlan or something.

A little of both Randy. I still have a lot of parts to sell and that's how I fund most purchases. The tank was NIB, bought but never installed. The rear truss, coilovers, and body mounts were ordered new. I prefer no to discuss budget- the wife may pick up my iPad and read this thread... LOL!

I was originally targeting the fall crawl in Harlan, but I am afraid the details later on will slow me down. While I am building this one, I am tearing down my old crawler to sell or reuse parts, so it's really hitting the timeline.

Targeting the Super Celebration next year and maybe the April fools ride in Harlan. Will let you know if this unexpectedly improves.

The good thing about a Bronco is that for the most part- there is no right way or wrong way to build one... Unless of course you put a Chebby drivetrain in one!

Anyway- this is a dedicated trail machine- only street legal in the most lawless of states... Like Kentucky and Tennessee!!;D;D

Just for you Pete... Got the truss welded up and welded to the axle. Will have to get it under the truck to set the upper and lower link mounts and have a look at the wheelbase!
