Guess who installed his heater box today? Yeah, good guess, that would be me! I'm starting to not mind doing things once, or twice, or thrice. Although it has been said that practice makes perfect, I'm not buyin' that horse flop. Better, yeah, I can see that, but perfect? Sure not in my barn, at least not until Paul, or Ken, or Dennis, or Mark, or Steve, or (fill in name here) moves to beautiful west Michigan to help out a Hollander Bronco bro. Got the wires connected, need to hook up one cable yet, and the heater hoses.. Tada!

Still leaves way too many loose wires wandering around, but I'm thinnin' the herd, one by one. Thinkin' 'bout hookin' all the rest of the wires together in one big ole ball. Jk, but it's tempting......

Them cables and those heater hoses might require a few band aides??? Just saying!!!
So far, just needed aspirin for the headache this wiring has been causing. Otherwise, doing good. Only used up 'bout half of the band aides from the pallet of band aides I bought at the beginning of the project. ;)

To whom it may concern and Jon - The benefits of the 'warm fuzzies' and the butt prods and the 'this is how's' I get from here is incalcuable. That is a word, isn't it? Sometimes it almost seems like a wonderful dream. With a few scary parts thrown in.

I'll bet you get plenty of chances to test out your work with that heater in beautiful West Michigan.

Yeah, no doubt about, 'progress' is NOT my middle name, but, I gotta say, havin' a great time not gettin' very far could be. Bit long but spot on. Today was a good case in point. Been tangled up in the wiring (literally and figuratively) for a while now, so thought I'd take a small bite and do something about the back bumper - license plate lights and back-up light. The artist formerly known as Slowleak had provided wise counsel and a picture of the NSS wiring, so I thought I'd start at the back and work forward. I doubt anyone remembers, but I made the back up from an F 150 driving light I cut up and glued back together. That is sort-of where todays time suck began. Didn't have the right harness end for the bulb fitting, so instead of running to the pick n pull and spending a buck for a harness, figured I'd make my own and spent an afternoon doing so. That line I said a few posts ago about 'once, twice, thrice' maybe doesn't always work. Here's the back-up light formerly known as a driving light and the bulb socket and the pigtail that formerly didn't exist.

and here's the all together 20230919_135726.jpg and here's the result. 20230919_152237.jpg Let there be light(s).

I might do that Howard. Hunter Biden has provided me with some newfound inspiration. The opportunities are endless.

Slow, that's hilarious!! I considered bringing the #1 son into the conversation, but didn't want the FBI on my tail. Hold on a minute, got a knock on the door......

The odds are pretty good that I'm doin' the wiring wrong, at least some of it, but I've got excuses - first of all, I can't read Egyptian and second, I don't understand modern art and, third, I usually chose to read the instructions while waiting for the fire department/ambulance/the bleeding to stop. Choose one. Here is most recent miniscule bit of progress.

KIDS: Do NOT try this at home on your own Bronco! Practice a few times first on your dad's Bronco until you get your mojo goin'.
