Did some sanding on the tub last night to see what we're working with. Front fenders and tailgate were glass blasted and no rust at all. It appears this was painted 2 or 3 times after the original green.

Any reason to go all the way down to bare metal for the new paint? 80 grit then 180 to smooth it out?

Installed new bigger cattle guard so I can fit KC Highlites inside it. All Hooked up and ready for nightfall so I can see how they preform.

Just replaced oil with Valvoline VR and new plugs. On the downside while underneath, I realized that one of my new wheel cylinders may be failing.

Got the radiator pulled, 302 is making way for a 351. And the best part was my 18month old “helping”.

Dropped my fuel tank , I suspected I had a fuel pump issue. The truck at 3500 rpm while driving would fall on its face . I measured the depth of the tank and the length of the pump and I had zero clearance. So I modified the pump to shorten it. Hot dam! Runs great . To think I did my Explorer swap last spring I was running a C4 . I just did a AX15 swap so pushing it harder between gears this fuel problem really came to light. How where did is that “ shout out to EFI guy “ thread?

Got the body set on the frame today. Need to do some test fitting. Going to get the Aero tank fitted and tack weld the mounts in place. I have to mark where the twin stick and transmission shifters will be coming through the floor. It is nice to be putting things together for a change. Body will be coming back off in a few days to start prepping for painting this spring. Ken

Did some more sanding and still not finding any rust or major issues. Doors were either off the Bronco when it was red or they came from another Bronco. Original green is under the red.

I had Rob from Bonzer Customs come by and roll my rear fender lips. His Wilwood roller tool did not fit on the Ford 5 lug for some reason so he wound up doing it by hand. Spent about 5 hours on them and they came out great

Vertical knobs on the dash look a little cluttered and horizontal knobs will prevent me from using the defroster. I may put the other 3 knobs on the right of the screen

I also had to put the steering wheel back on as its going to a fab shop for some work tomorrow. Its an auto column and shifts through the gears fine but won't go into park after reinstalling the shift collar and signal flange. Lockout plate issue? Those TBolts sure are fun...
