I hope so. That “bolt in” classic auto air system has fought me at every step. Waiting on a couple fittings and a belt to finish it up. At least the lift from Tom’s should be more user friendly. (Oh I shouldn’t have said that!).

Been looking for those hub caps for a long time. If you know of any out there please let me know. Here’s the latest on my build.

Recently bought a very nice OEM liftgate handle from northeast classic Ford parts. Of course my key didn't work for it so I disassembled it and pulled the core. I got lucky that I was able to reorganize the wafer pins and now it works with my glovebox key!

I got a new Hanson bumper and bent up a grille guard for it. Still have to final weld it all and paint it. Going with a Warn 9.5 XP. I don’t have it yet either. Also installed a stereo with some pod speakers mounted to my rollbar, it’s not finished yet so I guess I’ll snap a few pics when the rest of my speakers come in.

Looks great and will work wonderfully. I'm trying to offer advice and not sound like a tool because there is nothing wrong with the job you've done there. I usually cut my overlay sleeve ends at diagonal angles, gives more weld surface area and the tube wont shear at the weld.

Realistically I should have drilled some holes in the pipe and done some plug welds, but I'm not running a stroker anymore so I'm not too worried.

Did you keep the stock turn signal plug or did the ididit require going to the GM?

I removed the wires from the stock plug and installed the IDIDIT wires/pins. The colors were ALL identical so it was just a matter of matching the IDIDIT wires and reinstalling them in the stock plug. no need for GM

That's slick. Mind sharing what the ididit plug looks like? My stock connectors fell apart and I replaced with waterproof connectors, but I'd like to see what else is out there before moving to GM.

Haha! I have a build like that going on too. Not quite 13 yet but definitely longer than planned.

there are a couple options. from wild horses ( you may be able to get them other places also) you can either get the direct fit ididit column that has the ford style connector, or the original style ididit column comes with a gm style wiring harness which hooks up directly to the AAW harness that I used. I haven't used the painless wiring harness so I can't comment on that one.

I'm going Painless as well and am currently mid-install. Which is also why I ask, since Painless includes the stock-to-GM adapter in their kit.
