Installed one lower door seal, any pearls?
Yeah, don’t glue them in yet!
Hopefully the tape is there to hold them in while you check them. Rather than holding them while the glue dries?
Reason being, so many are such a tight fit, that you can’t easily close the door.
Best to check first, if you haven’t already applied the adhesive.

Checked for what I thought was 1 exhaust leak and found 3 lol. 3 missing ARP header bolts and 2 missing collector bolts. I guess my elbow isn't as calibrated as a real torque wrench. PSA: Check your header bolts

Finally back at this.... again... Today is figuring out why my brand new sending unit is not working with my brand new fuel gauge. Hoping its as simple as a ground. If not, I'll go with the old tried and true calculate MPG and carry a little spare fuel.. lol.

Currently bleeding a new power brake system and hoping that is all buttoned up today so I can roll back and forth in the driveway checking other little things. Really trying to get this thing rolling under its own power by the end of the week.

Dumped another months retirement check into my gas tank this week... :) My problem seems to be I only get one chk per month but I usually have to fill the tank almost every week !!! lol (unless the county has sprayed the roads with Mag Chloride)

Have a good week all ! Still covered in snow here but hit 53deg! Whew, felt HOT!

Well... things didn't go as planned. Went to bleed the brakes, I've done that I don't know how many times, and could not get fluid to the rear right. Went over everything, searched the internet for anything that I was missing, etc etc etc... removed the bleed valve to find it dry and rusted... The rear shoes are in great condition, but I guess letting this thing sit dry for around 10 years killed the wheel cylinder. So I go to the local Napa and pick two of them up. Only problem is I have 10" drums, all they had were 11" in drums wheel cylinders. In case you are wondering, they are not the same. lol.

I order up the correct wheel cylinders and move on. Out of nowhere, the mechanical fuel pump stops working. As in, I'm letting the engine idle and it just runs out of gas. Tank has gas, but nothing is moving. I pull the line off the tank and put it in a portabel gas tank and nothing is moving. I pull the pump and confirm it's gone. No idea why it broke, but it did. Easy replacement and off we go, fuel is flowing. Engine is running again like a slightly pissed off spider monkey...

But the problem now is that fuel is flowing from places it should not be. In the not-so-distant past, I had to replace a brand-new sending unit that had a pin hole in it right next to the "sending" portion of the unit. It held great, apparently up until yesterday. I was so proud of myself... lol.. started tightening things up, zip tying lines, making things look all proper for the much-anticipated new brakes and potential driving next week... Then I come out this morning and the Brand-New Fuel Sending unit, that replaced the old Brand-New Fuel Sending Unit, is leaking again. I'm really hoping it's just a bad hose that came lose or something... but I know my luck.

Oh well, that is why we have these old vehicles right? Rigghhttt?????????

Whoa there Oldtimer! What’s the dealio here?
Tell us more. Or do you already have a thread going on it here somewhere?
You and that engine hoisted in the air there have been through a lot together. What’s the plan?

Flowers!!!?? Seriously? :)

Enjoy Randy. Hoping to go snow wheeling tomorrow
Actually got in the shop today trying to get the last of the tub metal finished so I can figure out the best way to run fuel/brake lines. Feel like a dog chasing its tail because I keep finding things undone. I’ve got a list of to-do things but…
Need to eat this Bronco one bite at a time.

Enjoy the snow wheeling! Not sure if I’m jealous of the snow or ecstatic that we’re getting closer but it’s warmth in the shop!

Randy
