Drove it!

Fired it up for the first time since I started working on it. I don't know if it has moved under its own power in 12-13 years. Drove it to dinner with the wife to celebrate.

Getting the wife out to dinner AND back home again without the newly built Bronco dying is actually quite a milestone and accomplishment!!!
Many here have tried, and many have died (the Broncos anyway) before getting back home.

Congrats!

Found some previously unnoticed trail damage while hunting for an annoying rattle that developed after some runs at Rausch Creek. DOH!

Cranked it last night backed it out of the new shop.
Went back to move it inside later & click click.
So tonight before we went to supper i put the charger on it.
Guess it'll get to charge overnight.

I installed the rear liftgate and realized my skill improved over time and now my liftgate doesn't match my hardtop. The texture is different. I don't even care, it has a liftgate!

Nightwork. It is only 110F during the day.

That really sucks. I hope it can be buffed out.

Call the store and ask if they happen to have the lot monitored by video. Long shot but would be nice to have that nutsack on camera and his license plate to track him down. Oh how nice it would be to provide that idiot a beatdown.

Walked in the garage and gave her a compliment. Always good to keep their confidence up.

Just got back today from 10 days at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Fought an ignition problem some (burning out Ignitor 2's for some crazy reason--any help on this would be greatly appreciated) but man does it climb the sand. Was very happy with everything other than my Pertronix issues.

Finally fixed oil pan leak

Finally fixed that nagging leak on the oil pan where the threaded dip stick fits. Removed oil pan and drilled out rivets so I could remove the threaded dip stick backing plate. I brazed the backing plated, cleaned up the threads and painted. No more nagging seepage.

Now for for fixing the leak on the oil sender leak.

Here are a few pics.
