I still use the phrase “run away! Run away!” on almost the daily basis!
Makes me smile every time, even if most of the people don’t get what I’m alluding to.
Along with “I got betta…” “It’s only a flesh wound.” “You silly English kaniggits” and of course, the legendary “I fart in your general direction.” Which are still worked into any conversation that I can.

Fun story...

Well, if you'd ever bought a car in the '60's, 70's or '80's many of us found a little sandwich bag full of little ground up leafy looking stuff in the defrost vent!

My buddy bought his '65 Mustang in the late '70's and after about a month he turned on the defrost and at least a full "lid" of pot blew all over the front of his car! :)

Found a flat joint under the floor of my 74 highboy when I was removing the bench seat.

What was mischevious then is legal most everywhere now. I don't think that's progress.

There was an annoying rattling sound that came from my heater when I first bought my EB. Years later, I had to pull it all apart to replace my leaking heater core, and lo and behold, out came a petrified stick of gum, still in its foil rapper. Someone must have put it up on the dash and it fell into the defroster duct. Problem solved. :p:LOL:(y)

Now that the underside of the body and frame are done, I need to paint the engine bay so I can get an engine/trans in there. I am going to focus on getting the drivetrain in and finished before I move on to the rest of the body work and paint. I completely forgot how many holes were in the inner fenders. The previous owner had a Sidewinder winch and the boxes for that were attached to the fenders, he also had an ammo can bolted to the top of the fender for storing the winch control and some other supplies. Between both fenders there were 24 holes. Welded up all of the holes and ground them down.

Well, I used to write curriculum, taught many different vocational/life skill classes, ran a couple clubs that almost financed our entire ASB we were so active, started an autoshop but (and I only said all this BECAUSE) I'd never been involved with Homecoming as a student or teacher/whatever... but last night I was!! :)

(notice the last pic- I had the honor & privilege to escort two of the Senior girls for our local HS Homecoming night festivities. Our kids both graduated from here. It was fun to be asked to do this. Gotta admit, the amount of thumbs ups and people commenting on the Bronco was kinda fun too) Both girls didn't have any trouble getting in & out of the Bronco even in their long formal attire, it helped that I brought a 2 step stool tho. lol
