I read a lot of post and wonder sometime if people like me are here or are they just not posting. I for one just want to make a capible rig for the trails and some street riding (special occasions (mardi gras, crusing the coast, going to eat) A lot of post titles make it seem I am on some early sports car forum or something. Is it just me. Post up, lets get a pulse of the forum...

None of the above? ?:? Sports car forum? Little bit of everything here I would say. The poll options aren't that varied though.

I don't know, I'll try to explain a little.
Option one is if you have All terrain tires with maybe a 2" block in the rear and a wh coils in the front and soft top or something, oh yea great paint and interior
Option two is your bronco is a little faded with a few oil leaks, interior needs lots of work but it will get you anywhere the pavement will take you.
Option three is more mods than not and you really don't drive it on the road as much as you used to because you don't want to wear out a1800 set of tires or it doesn't go over 65 anymore (gears and lockers and such)

What about an option for different broncos for different tasks- hot rod to rock buggy? Oh yeah, some of us have one ton rigs that have 40's or larger with 4.88s and Detroits on both ends that will run 70 safely on the interstate :)

Mine's mixed use. Clean and presentable for street driving, modified enough to do the Rubicon Trail largely unscathed. My main goal in 4-wheeling is to get out to remote lakes to camp, fish, shoot, paddle my canoe around, and play with my dog away from the large crowds, with the occasional difficult trail thrown in. How's that.

When mine is done it will be many mods and lifted driven daily with several off-roading excursions annually.

I would venture to say that a lot of us have more than 1 Bronco fitting in different "options". At least the more active people on here. I have 3. A stocker, a streetable trail rig and a, I guess it would be best described as a mild resto-mod 78 full size. None of which fit your options exactly.

i am building mine to travel coast to coast or drop it off in any mud hole that gets in my way. it will probably see the street more than the trail, but that's because trails are not as available as they were 25 years ago. to heck with the cost of tires, that's the cost of getting to the other side of the mud hole and looking good. do you have a check box for that? lol

Mine is do-everything and go-everywhere. Daily driver but I don't hesitate to take it on rough trails either.

X2 but not so much a daily driver as it doesn't go out in the winter at all. It's banged up a bit from trail use but it's all cosmetic. Any mecanical issues are fixed and made safe for the road.

So, my vote is a multi purpose Bronco.

Not a daily driver, but gets used that way sometimes, can go offroad but not a trail truck.
Utility truck while I get some stuff done to it.
Needs interior work.
Need some body work.
Needs paint work.
Modded but not heavily, more coming, but nothing drastic.

Mine has been a little of this a little of that. I used to beat on it in the mountains, throw deer and elk in the back and hose it out. Then I made it a lot nicer and did more shows and still some trails and light offload. It was my dd from 1991-2001. Then it sat in storage for 8 years. Now it is a pile of parts s-l-o-w-l-y undergoing a resto again. When done, it will at first be babied and show but still a daily driver. Then after a scratch or two, lots of camping and light-medium wheeling. So I am not sure what to vote. Lol

I chose everyday driving but i would say I am 95% road/street and 5% light offroading for camping... I have a bone stock ranger for street and am planning to build a lubr out of my 66 halfcab 2.5" lift with 30x9.5x15. This will be my light off-road/camping rig.
