It is looking good. I can't wait to see it complete, and on the truck. I plan on taking mine to work this spring and making one for mine.

I rebuilt the 2bbl and got it started. I warmed it up for a while and just as it smoothed out I ran out of gas again ( story in a previous post ). I will put some more gas in it tonight. It is not registered or insured right now or I would just go fill it up.

I think I will rebuild the 2bbl for now and I can change to a 4bbl when I rebuild the engine. Carb kit for the 2bbl is cheap anyway. Thanks for the advice.

Same problem I just had with my '84 F150 351W. I thought it was condensation in the tank. Turned out to be the wire from the coil to the dist. I didn't blow out a muffler, but I did scare the dogs.

+ 1000 on that. Engines are a lot cheaper than body work and paint.

How much did you have to give for it? I found a '77 near me for $3500, but yours is in better shape. Good find.

I have a 429 SCJ engine in my garage that came out of a river boat. I haven't decided what to do with it yet. Picked it up for $300. I figured that the heads were worth more than that.

I can't get my Bronco out of the field to work on it. I got my 3/4 ton stuck last week trying to get out there. I haven't unlocked my hubs in 2 months. I can't drive my Mustang. I can't wait for spring.
