That's the way I am planning on going - from Manassas south on 95 to 218 at Falmouth and then pick up 301 into MD. Not interested in heading towards DC on a Friday! 17 hits 95 right at Falmouth so no need for Randy to get on I95 a all.

Randy, if your interested maybe we could meet up on Friday morning close to where 17 and I95 meet up. I think there is a Wa Wa on 17 just a bit west of I95. Any thoughts on what time you might get there? (But not too early!)

Wish I could leave when you do, but not this time. Can I get some more info on this route from you via phone before you leave?

Nope..no reason a 'tall, OX. That was the route I often took when my oldest was going to New York U.;) ..and we are a very short hop west of PAX.

OK..I just checked with our island hotel, Island Inn and Suites, and all my blocked rooms are reserved so I'm off the hook there and did not have to release any. IF there is anyone that was holding out and still wanted to reserve a room, they have only one room left open for Saturday night....

Island only has so much power but we do have generators that we might have to break out and run to keep comfortable. Except we don't have portable A/C units.

You guys and gals should be fine with the heat. The tropical wave we are getting on friday should be all over you by saturday. The rain will cool things down.

Thinking positive and hoping the storm will die out before it gets to you.

Looking like 100 degrees is the target for Saturday....

I have this really large industrial AC unit (all in one with dual compressor setup..you just hook up ducting and go) that is sitting on blocks. We could drag that out and connect power, jumper the stat contacts and let 'er rip!;D

Our victim and his wife arrived with their EB around 1900 yesterday. They would have had a nice relaxing day on the island today..were it not for the facts that
a)the shop is still a mess and
b)the knuckles and disk brakes from a '78 D44 that are going to go on the EB project are still firmly affixed to the '78 D44.

Sgt. Gold therefore has some work to do today.;D

The Gold's EB is a pretty solid looking rig from what I'v seen poking around while its still on the trailer. And of course the fact that the truck has a 351c-4v talking through flowmasters and 2.5 pipes is always gonna be a hit with me.;)
