Have any specs on the firewall location for the MC and maybe rod length(stock?) or pivot location on the clutch pedal.

Looks like that might be the stock hose from the truck too. Any heat/header issues?

You'll likely have to re-do some exhaust routing due to the new crossmember.
I used the BC kit which came with a SS braided MC to slave line but header heat shouldn't be an assue.

The MC will partially share the original speedo cable hole and the speedo cable needs to be relocated. I just opended the hole up enough to bolt up the MC and made a slot to slide the speedo cable down in. Others have used the old clutch rod hole.

Chuck @ BC can give you the correct placement position for the rod end. I'd have to go measure mine and it may not be perfect.

The stock hose is a thermal set plastic and is formed to fit the F-150 and F-250 chassis. Wont fit the EB and will kink if you try to bend it. I don't think it would like the heat from headers. Steel braided hoses are available from a few sources that will make the job a lot easier.

Dave,

Did you use the stock master cylinder from the 96 truck? I plan to install a 94 f250 5.8 and ZF trans but with the D20 twin stick (running a pto winch). Have any specs on the firewall location for the MC and maybe rod length(stock?) or pivot location on the clutch pedal. Any help is much appreciated before I get to bustin the knuckles.

Thanks much.

New master cylinders come with a pushrod that snaps into the piston and has a nylon retainer clip for the lever arm. I used the arm off the doner and welded it on the clutch shaft. Measure the throw and angles on the F-250. You want to make sure that the MC is not acting as the stops for the clutch pedal and that throw is close to the full travel of the piston. Not too bad but requires a little engineering. (oops bad word) After growing up in my Dads shop and listening to his rants about engineers, at an early age I responded to the question "So when you grow up, do you want to be a mechainc like your dad?" I said, "naw, I want to be a f***in engineer!";D

Just updated my "ZF is IN:)" thread in Chat. Used the complete BCB swap kit. Other than some "learning experiences", it all went in without major issue.
