Lol I'm still alive out west, and I am sure you'll take care of me when the time comes. Might have you shoot me info on those trail skins I saw! Regardless, was glad to get them sent onto you and see something done with them besides sit in a box. Good job, they look great!

I just ordered my trail cover. I think you should change the name though. Mine is a damn cat protector. I doubt I will ever use it on a trail but will be used every night to keep the neighborhood cats out. I picture a big logo on top with a flat cat and a crossed out circle around it.

Too funny-
The "boss" has one cat she got from her aunt and two strays who decided to let us take care of them. My bitch is they compete to see who can get the highest perch. Which is apparently my bikini top. I swear that thing has a permanent sag now. I'm going to have serguei to make me one with fiberglass stays like a sail that won't flap at speed (or sag when a cat decides to lounge on it...)

more material on order

Serguei asked me to post that he's burned through all the material already and had to reorder. For those of you pending, (about six guys he says) not to worry. He's not the "saddle up" guy (and I know where he lives) ;D;D Fabric should be in this week (was supposed to arrive last week) and then he'll bang them out.

I passed the suggestions on to Serguei. The strap length/front/back thing makes sense. Bending the topic slightly, Another one of our soft goods made by Serguei popped up on You Tube courtesy of Brian at Build-A-Bronco. Shawn did a great job explaining them. I couldn't have demoed them better. Thanks again to the guys at Build-A-Bronco;

Serguei calls them "door toppers". I refer to them as SOFT WINDOWS. They are patterned from a set of NOS '66 pieces forwarded to me by TITO (who still hasn't collected on the trade, clearing my throat). Come on man, tubs aren't getting any cheaper.... ;D

Serguei and I spent a year reverse engineering these things trying to get them right. I think they came out well. Price is $365 plus shipping including the mounting plates. When the windows are out, you have a nice clean set of roadster half doors. Send him your zip, single or fixed vent style and color- black/white for a quote. Again his email is; skvitt@hotmail.com

Here's some pics;

Pic's look awesome and I should be the one in the video.. lol

Mike,

I did not go back and read any improvment you may have made but i install my old cover last night and 2 things that would be nice. rear straps need lenghtened with a plate bumper and 3" body lift the straps just fit 6"--10" longer would be nice and need some way to figure out which way is up & front a different color strap in the front 2 positions would take care of that, I'm always putting it on upside down and backwords.

I measured my rear straps the other day , they are 48" they just barely fit with a 3" body lift & plate bumper.

Jason! Whadaya mean? Thats a great pic. You had a crew of Bronco slaves working on your truck, piles of brand new bronco parts everywhere like it was Christmas. Michelle made a pile of great food for the hordes. Its a snapshot in time of a good day.

I'll mention to Serguei the strap length. I don't remember how long he's making them. Thanks for the input.

So, will we be driving to VA in "Orange Crush" for the MEB dinner or will it be some more generic color??? PLEASE, say it's not going to be "Tasker yellow". Snark Snark. I can always throw doors on "Odie" and we can see if the rod knock I hear stays the same there and back. :eek: OR we could take the crew cab and ride in heat and comfort.... ;D . I can never get Mel to go to Quaker Steak here.

Hey Randy-
Moby II (there was a previous Moby), is still baffling me so we bought another truck- '96 F250 CC SB. This one only has 166K on it which is less than the wifes '06 Altima so it feels brand new to us. Wanna ride down to Richmond with me and Jason if he doesn't get "crush" running??

Hey Mike, can you build me one of those tri-vent hoods yet. I'm a couple days away from doing something with the hood, its my last panel to do and I need a scoop for engine fitment. I may have to put a bump on a bump for now.

Pat-
Just sent you a PM. If you want to mud up a hood (non-structural art project) to replicate the tri-vent, I'll make the mold immediately and give you a glass hood with my inside structure glassed in. January is tooling month so timing is good for the hood and flare molds. Sean Lalley of "Swamp Donkey" fame is beating me up pretty good for a trivent as well which I'd take down to him in early February on our semi annual brain thaw/southern parts run.

Randy-
If Jason insists on driving the "crush" down, we could be his support (translates to tow) vehicle and pit crew. If the truck stays orange and he turns blue freezing to death, doesn't that match some football team colors??? ;D;D Yup, selling Moby. He's a great toy hauler/camper for shows but the powerstroke DI electronics scares me. The first $1800 takes him.
