I have a slant back version you could borrow and if you wait until November ( after bronco season) you can borrow the other one.

Will you be at the wrench & roast?

Thanks and kudos to everyone that is volunteering. This way the project should continue to move forward. I want one of these so bad so when I am at my cabin, I have a way to keep it covered (No garage). Can't wait!!!

Sorry for the slow reply. Had to attend the wifes all day 600th class reunion. Yawn.... Thanks for all the offers. I won't be at the W n R. We're displaying at Carlisle All Truck again, (hopefully with the new "Trail Tub"), but its looking less likely that we'll have the finished first article there. The new side patterns are looking good but it will be virtually impossible to make the molds, get parts from them and assemble the rest of the body in time unless I get this damn split off my thumb and the doc says I can flex it normally. We'll know tomorrow. Not really in the mood to rush it since it still hurts like hell.

How long will we need the samples? I'd say a month to get them, make the patterns, and ship them back (intact/undamaged).

If we could get a full cage and a slant back all the better. Donors will get new ones at a deep discount for helping out.

Why don't you guys coordinate on the thread and decide who will be least impacted (or needs a new one most) and send one of each. You can go on my site and send it to my address on the contact page or stop in on your way through (bring work clothes)......;D;D

Ben and I really appreciate all your offers. Lets see what we can make happen before fall hits if possible.

Trail Tub Progress

Well, I know its not on topic but heres the progress as of today on the trail tub sides. Everything is now Air Superiority Gray (for the time being till I sand through most of it). Time to get pruny while wet sanding for about a week.

I'll be following this thread. I've been looking everywhere for a slant-back cover for mine, no luck yet.

If this comes together, then please put me on a waiting list to receive one!
Thanks

Mike,

I know you were thinking of more static/storage top, but we might want to put our heads together to produce a top that would handle use at speed. I know most of the guys that bought these WILL throw them on their trailered rigs for events. Our spring events can be quite rainy and most guys want the top off for the riding, but tow to the events with cover on. Maybe a separate set of additional straps that could be used for highway use and wouldn't add to much to the final cost.

Tasker,
How has it held up around the upper door frames? Any worn through parts? Mike might want to beef up the design here. Just thinking out loud this am. Getting tired of my blue tarp cover. ;)

I am interested also. I been looking at the covers they sell, but I would prefer something that a person could utilize year round that would alos be durable and hold up to the elements. Oh... and it has to fit a halfcab 'cause thats all I have! (right now) Keep this thread going! ;D

i have a weird header ...

Whats that Tasker? You took a wierd header driving blindfolded again???? Practice all you want. If Mel and Jason can find reverse, you're toast!

Seriously, I talked to the upholsterer again today and we can turn a cover around in two weeks max so the sooner we get one the quicker we can get going. He who need his least, send it up.
