I’m going to start working on mine soon...1963 Falcon Wagon.

A local used car dealer here had a '62-ish T-bird wagon in almost the same color as that. Full cruise top windows and all.
What a great car to see! I don't think I'd seen one in 40 years.

I never was able to stop, but that's probably a good thing as I might have bought it right on the spot!
Sorry I didn't get any pics, but found this on the internet just now and it looks just like it:

Yeah, it really stood out in that crowd. Even among some pretty nice cars. The unusual green color, coupled with that fairly unique body style (how many T-bird wagons have you seen in your life?) made it a real eye-catcher even at 40mph passing by the lot.

Another lesson Learned. I got some new Yukon 31 spline axles they came with there bearing and seal kit. It’s a AK Set 20 tapered roller bearing. I removed the seal from the bearing. Pressed the bearing and lock ring on. For those of you who have used this type of bearing know where I’m going by now . Yep Up Shit Creek with a bearing pressed on with out a seal for oar. For the ones who my not be familiar with these bearings. They get lubed from the rear gear oil. I should have left the seal on the bearing then pressed it. Unlike a sealed roller bearing where the seal gets pressed in the tube. Moving forward I presses the other bearing on the right way and installed the axle. Man this swap has kicked my butt, not one of my better jobs.

Bought new-to-me rims. Rims, not the tires.

Picked up my new gauge set from Classic Instruments in Boyne City, MI! http://www.classicinstruments.com/ Fine people, fine gauges. I got the large speedo with a mid size tach and rounded bezels on all of them.

Siphoned all the gas out of my gas tank so I can hopefully take care of a small leak around the sending unit seal this weekend
