Nice, its been years since I saw truss's on truck, is that old school??

not really. i'm building a 3link for the front suspension and don't want to rely on those old plug welds since a lot of pressure is being put on only one axle tube.

I took a mp saw to the body of 1 of my parts broncos and cut it into small pieces and hauled it in for scrap, got 76.50 for the 1000 lbs of rusted sheetmetal.

Welded up the ends of the rocker panels. Started preping the underside for primer and bedliner. Installed rear quarter patch panels. Put the master cylinder on and started making lines for the hydroboost.

Drove it to work today. I have decided that even though the A/C part of the BCB/VA kit is just so-so, the heater works really good.;D

Holley Projection Blues

So this is my first post of hopefully many.

I recently purchased a 73 Bronco and it is mint. I love almost everything about it except I haven't been driving it since I bought it.

Appears I have 2 problems. One looks like the neutrasl safety switch. Had a melt down of my 20 amp fusable link! Seems to happen only when I am playing with the shifter and driving. (automatic)

The second issue is the dam projection system. In theory it is cool but reality is that Holley is crap. why? Because they no longer support the 2 barrel set-up. I had a bad injector. Can't buy them anymore, so I ordered the replacement pod kit. It is the commander 950 not the projection EVEN though they advertise it as the correct one.
The main difference is the wire harness for the injectors. You can't get the proper one, instead they ship the 950 harness. I called Holley and they said they are not making it anymore and I would just have to splice in my old connector.
I could do this but I think they should at least be up front about what you are ordering.
In the end I found a couple marine injectors that are able to fit into my old system. Once they are dead I will be changing it out for something else.

Cheers

Removed the last old rear spring, removed the body mounts, removed the transmission and transfer case, separated the front end from the frame, removed the stock front springs, and put the frame on a couple of saw horses.

Looked at it, talked to it, told myself to stay focused on one fix at a time and not get overwhelmed by every single thing I want to do to it.....

Spent a few hours attempting to remove the leaf springs to replace them with another set I have. Got frustrated. Heeded my own advise of "never start a project you can't finish today". Put everything back together after applying yet ANOTHER liberal spraying of PBlaster.

Adjusted the electric choke on the carb.

Explorer/cougar-t-bird accessory pulley belt system

the crank pulley from the cougar is a bit larger, I expect better charging and PS at idle, desirable on an off road vehicle. spent less than $100 dollars w/o belt, belt was 22 bucks. good deal.;D

mocking up the ramcharger (ford summit aluminum radiator) radiator/fan (mark vii), had to move body mount out.
