After driving my 4BT this evening I think I have a new ... Standard Answer... this summer when anyone ask that famous standard question ..
...What can I do to keep my Bronco from running hot?..
...I went to the pasture and cruised around looked at my cows then up the tank dam and back down .. It wouldn't climb it in low low 2w but when I put it in 4 w it pulled right up at an idle .. In 2w it just spun the tires at idle.
... Taco was impressed an even whined as we topped off . All he could see was water.
.... But as I got back on a level pasture road I noticed it was at about 180 ''ohsowarm'' an I flipped on the colling fan. AS I had one of my favorite beverages in my hand and another or 2 in the console. I cruised down the county road to see what else was out .
It was one of those evenings .. Deer every 500 ft. turkeys heading to roost then at the turn around. Biggest Boar Hog I've seen in years . Good 400 lbs. UGLY as an exwife.
..... So turned around an looked down at the temp and as my fan had been on since I was on the tank dam playing. Man the little 4BT was setting on the cold peg. Back at about 120 or so.. I guess I really need to add a sensor to run the fan but it's so neat to see it stay cool .. Can beat it .. GO 4BT.

Papitt, that sounds Sweet! Glad that it is running like a clock for ya! ;D

As for me, I FINALLY %) got around to trying to solve my quest to not have to buy a new radiator for my EFI conversion with the explorer serpantine setup. Happy to report that my crossover pipe is done and should work out well.

Tried the F250 Hose and it fit like crap. The BC Bronco kit may have worked but that woulda been too easy. LOL!!! ;D So I spent most of the night working on this crossover tube.

That looks awesome!

I went with the F series 7.3 liter diesel lower hose and a '68 GTO with a 400cid upper hose. With some creative trimming and two 15° bent 1-3/4" exhaust pipes, it was made to work...but your install looks SO much better...

finished up the dual battery wiring (I have LIGHTS and a RADIO!!) and drew up a mount for my air filter...

Hopefully running this weekend...(funny, somehow having a "running Turd" doesn't sound all that positive)

Changed the worm gear for the 4x4x2 power steering conversion. Easy stuff. Now I just need to gather the remaining pieces and fab the steering shaft.

Got a little time off this pm and I put in new plugs, added the new dizzy cap and new plug wires and mounted a remote tranny cooler from derale.

Then I grilled sumthin and enjoyed that all American beverage. Known as Colorado cool-aid.

Got my stone crusher steering installed. Going to test it out tomorrow on a trail ride at Woolys Offroad with 4 other Broncos.
