What have you done to your Bronco today?

@vin218- the sound is pretty good for how small the unit is. As some have mentioned, it could use a little more down low, but is remarkable for its size! Works great for me just the way it is.

Replaced king pin bearings and races on the driver side

How did that go JC? So far we've been pretty lucky with the parts we sell for this, but I've heard many horror stories of stuff not fitting, or this Dana 30 being different from that Dana 30, and all sorts of stuff.
Hope yours went as smooth as it looks.

Well I can't say it went as planned but got the drivers side in and I am pretty pleased.

Heck yeah! That was pretty ugly before. Now it's looking very good.
If you've ever driven this Bronco much before putting it under the knife, you're going to be surprised at how much more solid it feels with good floors.

Also, got half my 1" body lift installed. Hopefully tomorrow I will get the other side done.

It was my first time doing a king pin rebuild so it took me about 9 hours to do one side (that includes media blasting and painting the spindle and other misc parts). The old races were a pain to get out but the new ones went in pretty easily after sitting in the freezer over night.

I used the complete rebuild kit that y'all sell but forgot to order shims. I could probably use an additional 1 or 2 shims to get within the turning torque specs so I'll have to add those to my next order.

I think I'll be able to do the passenger side in half the time now that I have a little experience with it.

Got my insurance card and plate today. DRIVING it to get an alignment and exhaust kit welded up tomorrow.

Most of the time I need ESP to figure out what my wife's list is but I'm pretty sure welding on the Bronco isn't on it.

Finished up the fan shroud that i made! Wish I welded it a little better but im no pro and don't do it often enough! I think it is fine but might be a little bit heavy! %)

Pulled the chunk and installed 4.56 gears to match the D44 front axle, man this thing is heavy.

Got the thing primered and painted, chassis black is supposed to be satin but it looks glossy to me, maybe its not completely dry yet.

recently tried to swap out my tail gate metal hinges for cables and was not happy with the fitment so it's back to the rattling metal hinges

Front axle painted

Rattle-canned the front axle finally. I pressure washed about 10 lbs of mud/rocks out of the inside but that's what you get when you find your axle in a Bronco frame sunk into a muddy field in Nebraska. The only thing I could see when I first found it was the pinion, all the rest was fully under ground and had been for over a decade. Cleaned up pretty good though.

Note: baby play mats make for great blankets!

Next up, press in the studs in the Reid knuckles, new ball joints, and assemble the axle with the new 4.88 gears.

Over the last few days:
Saturday - Replaced headlight and ignition switches (lost headlights a few times the last time I drove it)
Sunday - Fixed the finicky passenger door handle so the wife can get in
Tuesday - Washed the pollen and moss off of the north side of it (did I mention its been a while since I drove it?):-[
Today - Fired it up and drove it to work!;D
