I'm reaching out to other shops in my area for the body restoration. The current shop is already 11 months overdue for taking on my project. I'm moving along nicely with the drive train. So the body work needs to begin.
That thing looks amazing. Are you restoring and painting the entire body?

Yes, the plan is a full repaint as factory. I struggle daily with leaving it as is. But my partner in crime insists on shiney new paint. After all if it wasn't for my wonderful wife. I would be this far.

Installed 1.5* caster/camber shims in the knuckles to hopefully get more caster. Ordered new tires. Man they are expensive these days. When the tires come in off for install and alignment. Hopefully will remedy my death wobble.

Yesterday I hung my frame on a homemade rotisserie and today I took all of the measurements to make sure that the frame is straight and square before I paint it.

Finally got my console bolted in with my amp mounted to the bottom. Installed a new drag link and removed the steering stabilizer. Drove fine with no death wobble for the two mile test drive to the gas station. Maybe I can leave it off. Steers better without it. Got exhaust tips installed. And finally got around to cutting some metal for my custom 3" body gap filler for the front. Then got sidetracked while I had the plasma torch going and spent the rest of the day cutting up scrap metal to repurpose on a long list of DIY builds. I watch way too much YouTube. console.jpg amp.jpg drag link.jpg exhaust tips.jpg

Did it have Death Wobble before? Is that why the new tires?
Got quite the steep angle on the links still, it looks like from here at least. How high are you lifted?
Anything planned to get the angles down a bit?

The 400? Do tell!

No the 5.0 explorer motor in the light blue bronco. I still have to get it off the trailer and into the shop. Seriously thinking about just pulling the body off. it would make it easier to work on.
