Rebuilt the steering column in my 74 today.

Only issue I had was I had a 73 style indicator, and the body harness doesn't have the factory connector that I still need to find.

Got the seats, rubber mat and floor covering stripped out of new bronco. More and more pleased with what I am finding on this one. Very solid. Only real rust is drivers side floor board. Rest is as good as it gets..

Got my Xterra box mocked up on the frame, still needs some adjustment with washers/bolts.

Used the stock Xterra lower steering shaft to mate with a 3/4 D x splined joint and cut the OEM EB shaft to a "D", will probably still weld the "D" side. Excited about the 3.75-4 turn box and 3/4 ton Steering!

They are cheapies I got from Northern tool. They roll really nice. Once you get wheels spun around to direction you are going they roll easy. I am happy with them for the price. Only draw back is having to jack up rig to get it on them. They more expensive self jacking ones would be nice. But these are pretty bulletproof.

Rear axle seal/bearing replacements on the 9", third member reseal, and fixed the mismatched rear brake drum parts from PO. Installed parking brake arm/springs and now working on Estopp electronic parking brake assembly. Will be good to have a parking/emergency brake finally!

Finished welding up the roll cage plate style mod that i had mocked up, and finished welding the body cart. Finally getting close to paint on the Bronco.

Made 1” spacers for the bump stops to protect the shocks from bottoming in the rear. Next will be the fronts 1.5”.

I fabricated these 2 units to use with the sway bar I’m going to install on mine.
I have dual shocks and my forward shock is in the way of me doing tro, so this is my fix.

Replaced the battery. I could have sworn I had just bought the Bronco a battery but alas, the journal does not lie. This was a Diehard that almost made it three years. Almost.
It turns over with alacrity again.
