Major steering loss w/ new lift???

Do you still have the Y steering? Did you check your alignment? I believe when you add a lift with Y steering, it makes your front end "pigeon toed".

front 5 1/2" coils. BC or WH?

I'm running BC 5.5 coils in the front and WH 5.5 leaves in the rear. It all looked and worked GREAT until I put a winch on the front. I had to take 2 leaves out of the rear to level it and it still has a little rake to it. I still love 'em though (fairly good ride and AWSOME flex). Just plan...

    Sweat The Small Stuff, Folks

That's what happens when you baby it around. It's pissed because you won't let it stretch it's legs. When are we going wheelin'. TW

    Body lean when cornering...

I'm running B.C. 5.5's up front with 5000's and sway bar. It does pretty good. It's a white nuckle ride without the sway bar at 70 mph. Winch doesn't help matters. I guess I need to buy "winch rated" springs.

    Scary Transfer Case Noises

If the hubs and everything else check out ok, look at your cv joint. I had the same thing in the rear. I even took my drive shaft to two different place. Both places said it felt fine. After taking the trans and t case out and the rear third member out TWICE, it ended up being the damn cv joint...

    Never changed C bushings before

While you have your lower spring buckets off, get a piece off all thread and make studs sticking up out of the radius arms. This way you don't have to get those bolts started by sticking your finger though the spring. Saves about 30 min.

    Need axle wrap help.

I run WH(5.5") springs as well. Lots of hammer time on them and no wrap here either.

    Rear Wheel Travel Question?

I have WH rear leafs and when I ramped it to measure for shocks(with no shocks on), there was 15" difference between the compressed side and the drooped side. I don't know if that could be split evenly to say 7.5 up and 7.5 down though.

New coils 351C and possible winch

I have 5.5" B.C. coils. I did not have a winch when I got them. They are awsome. But, I recently acuired a winch. The springs did not like that winch at all. If you think your are going to have a winch make sure you get the ones rated for a winch. Good luck.

    Rear springs

I have WH 5.5 lift 11 packs in the rear. From the bottom of the frame to the top of the axle tube is 12.5". That is with the top on, 33" spare tire. I don't have my bsck seat in or my tool box (75 to 100 lbs). The rear drops about 1/2" fully loaded. It sounds like you need some new springs. I...

    Build a wristed arm?

I would definitely do it again. Along with more flex, it sure smooths out the ride in the trails. I like the fact the I can pin it back up for the road. I am building new arms to go along with the new full width, and I will probably make something on the pass. side so I can pin it for the road.

    Front End

Check your wheel bearings. I went to repack my this weekend and found that one side was shot. I couldn't tell it was that bad until I had the brake caliper off. Thats when I could tell it had some play in it.

    Lock Right Install

I have no complaints about my Loc-Rite, but I am running 33's. However the guy I do most of my wheeling with, also has a Loc-Rite in the front. He runs 35" boggers and drives the living crap out of it, pretty much every obstacle at Disney. He usually brakes the cut down F150 inners or a u-joint...

interchanging parts on an old lift kit. What should I do?

Before you go out and some more money......I put new 5000's on when I put new 5.5" leaf on the back. It road like crap. I wheeled with it one time and now they are just fine. I guess that had to be broke in.

    bronco coil sprung suspension

What type of wheeling do you do. For trails with hill climbs and off camber places, I sure like the stability of the rear leafs. I run the 5.5" 11 pack from WH and love it.

    best horn donor vehicle?

I had a set of the 6 volt horns. They came off of a 40's truck, about 18" long. They sounded like air horns, before they couldn't take 12 volts anymore.

    Tie rod replacement

I made my own about the same time or before I heard of the stonecrusher set up. I don't know about the quality of the heim joint they use, but I need to replace mine about once a year. My rig see a lot of rocks and trails. Disney, OK is like my back yard. Other than that is handles great on and...
