    Official Dash Diagram Thread

Hey Chris, this is awesome!! Want to mention an oddity for the flashers in '66 broncos. As of part of last week and this week, I have been trying to chase down a ghost in my dash as the flasher lights will not activate until I pull the flasher switch out and trip the turn signal lever the same...

the people know what they like

That is terrific Tom!!! It amazes me the attention those things get at shows or just out on the streets. Congrats and gotta love the attention no doubt!

    TN Selling #6 of 1966

Over the years I have seen about 25% of the vin tags with these screws. The other with the traditional rivets. Just thought I would add here!

    1966 or not?

So after studying the pics, I would definitely say it is a typical mid-year 1966 bronco with the V8. It has some replacement parts that are uncharacteristic but they are merely swap and bolt on pieces. 1966 items: - inner fender/heater core brace on passenger side - plastic driver's side air...

Saw my first eyebrow grill yesterday and am disappointed

Like Drew mentioned, I too have witnessed only the body paint to the eyebrow in vintage ads. Several ads too. Both painted styles are correct for the '66s.

    Odd Body Code

Mike, 996 is very common for the '67 roadster. "9" being parchment bucket and "96" for being the roadster. tim

Original Owner 1973 Bronco Frame-Off Restoration in Kansas

That looks like the engineering number for the frame (or generically called the "part number").

    72 Explorer Sport upholstery source

Hey guys, I spoke with Melissa this morning (twice) and she answered immediately while her and Dana are even traveling! I had ordered my '66 bench seat cover last week and she confirmed this morning that the material for mine and two sets for a friend of mine are on the way to her shop. My...

    72 Explorer Sport upholstery source

Just spoke to Melissa twice this week. She answered both times right away. I have always had great luck with their service! And they care about "correctness" of the interior covers.

    route 66 the plan

Kudos Tom to you and your better half! Unreal to think you drove the 6 banger roadster that many miles with near flawless cruising!! Only thing I read of concern was your oil pressure which turned out to be no big deal after all. Thanks for posting your journey! tim

    For Real?

I too agree with the majority here and that perfect survivors are having their hearts ripped out and whore'd for bigger money by adding creature comforts for newbies! What was a poor man's hobby in the auto world is now becoming the "Hollywood" collection! What happened to restoring a junk...

    Hose clamps

Not sure what size you are looking for but I found some of the smaller ones at hardware stores like True Value or Ace. Maybe even homeport centers too!
